Hiking

The area is famous for its kilometres of varied mountain trails – from easy to difficult. Down in the valley or high up in the mountains, the choice is almost endless. Guided hiking tours can also be arranged.

Trümmelbach Water Falls

An easy 45 min stroll along the valley floor will lead you directly to the spectacular “Trümmelbach waterfalls”. A “must” for every visitor to Lauterbrunnen.

Mountain biking

A map of mountain-biking trails is available – easy to very steep – all you need to do is make the choice depending on how fit you are! Mountain bikes can be hired from “Imboden-Bikes” right next to the hotel.

Tennis and Minigolf

Lauterbrunnen has well maintained tennis courts and a minigolf course. Rackets and balls can be hired.

Swimming Pool

The heated open air swimming pool with the most spectacular view you could ask for is less than 5 minutes from the hotel.

Adventure Sports

Climbing, ice-climbing, river rafting, paragliding, glacier-touring: For the more adventurous there are plenty of activities on offer.

Mürren – Schilthorn

Mürren and the Schilthorn are easily accessible by cablecar and train via Grütschalp (can be combined with an easy and beautiful 2 hour hike from Grütschalp to Mürren) and by cable car Mürren – Birg – Schilthorn. Return by cable car to Stechelberg and Postbus to Lauterbrunnen (or hike back in 1 hr.) “The Mürren loop”.

Jungfraujoch

Unique full-day excursion from Lauterbrunnen train station with the cogwheel train via Kl. Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch. Combine the excursion with a glacier hike to the Mönchsjochhütte (approx. 2 hours there and back).

Schynige Platte

Romantic train ride from Wilderswil (partly steam train) to one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the region.

Interlaken and the lake of Thun and Brienz

Have a swim or catch a boat on one of the lakes or take a stroll through Interlaken and its many shops.

Swiss open-air museum “Ballenberg”

The Open-Air Museum Ballenberg, a paradise for families, covers an area of 163 acres. It is not only interesting for adults, but great fun for children too. There is so much to do here!

Lucerne or Berne

Bad weather? No problem – take the scenic train ride to either the nations capital of Berne or the beautiful city of Lucerne and take care of that souvenir shopping you wanted to do.
